Kurdish colleagues travelled to Italy, Portugal and Spain for the TeachersMOD training

The TeachersMOD adventure started at University of Pavia! Staff members from the 5 Kurdish partner universities took part in the first step of the project training, to exchange ideas with their peers and to know more on teaching methodologies and innovative learning approaches. Focus of the training was History as methodology for teaching, Gender issues, Language and identities, and more.

Then TeachersMOD landed in Portugal welcomed by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, for the field visit involving the academic staff of the Kurdish universities partner of the project! Topics of the training were: project work methodology and the Inverted Classroom, active teaching and learning methodologies, citizenship and cultural dimensions. Moreover, staff members went to visit the so-called “Classroom of the Future” and also a Primary School Library in Vila Real.

The TeachersMOD adventure continues in Spain at the Universidad de Granada. 35 representatives of the five Kurdish universities and the University of Pavia as coordinator of the project participated in this relevant activity to address different topics such as English as a means of teaching and internationalization, soft skills in higher education, teaching methods in higher education: through art, mathematics, implementation of institutional collaboration for the professional development of teachers, management of specific educational support needs in higher education and evaluation and quality, with the active participation of the Director of International Projects and Networks of the Vice-rectorate of Internationalization.
